COUNSELLING AND PSYCHOTHERAPY

Hi. My name is Jo.

Welcome.

Life can be hard, and it’s a vulnerable and brave thing to reach out for support.

I have worked as a therapist since 2012, and I have experience in working with all sorts of issues, from trauma to anxiety to stress, relational difficulties, depression, and bereavement, death and dying, although I have specific experience in Domestic Abuse, LGBTQIA+ therapy and creativity, shame and a self-critical inner voice.

A question I often hold in mind in the room with clients is how can I support this person’s relationship with themself? I draw on self-compassion practices such as those by Tara Brach and Kristen Neff, and also exploration of the ‘felt-sense’ and listening for intuition and the wisest parts of ourselves.

Take a look at my website, there’s lots of information on here about how I work and what issues I work with. Hopefully you can get a sense of me from looking at these pages.

You could come and see me Online, or at the Queer Therapy Hub in Brighton where I work one afternoon a week, or from my peaceful rooms in the Hive in Lewes.

If you have any questions or would like more information, do get in touch.
